Community Day: Lechonk
Community Day: Lechonk
Lechonk appears en masse during Community Day. Evolving Lechonk into Oinkologne during the event or within 4 hours after it ends teaches the move Mud Slap.

Event Schedule
Local time
Lechonk spawns abundantly in the wild with greatly boosted Shiny odds.
2× catch candy, 2× XL Candy, 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance, 3-hour Incense, and more.
Evolving Lechonk into Oinkologne teaches Mud Slap.
Lechonk continues to spawn near PokéStops with active Lure Modules.
Exclusive move analysis
Oinkologne is Normal-type so Mud Slap (Ground) gets no STAB. Its Attack is also low, so it has no value as a Ground attacker.
A 3-energy Fast Move that adds Ground coverage, but Oinkologne's base stats are too low to climb into top-tier Great/Ultra League.

Usage evaluation
Not recommended
Normal typing + low Attack stat make it unviable. Use Mega Garchomp, Excadrill, etc. for Ground attackers.
Not recommended
Low base stats make top-tier meta entry difficult. A fun pick at best.
Not recommended
Mud Slap adds Ground coverage, but stat limits hold it back from practical use.
Not recommended
Max CP and base stats fall well short of Master League standards.
Keep 1–2 for Shiny / 100% IV collection. Transfer the rest for candy since PvP/PvE value is low.
A collection-focused Community Day. The main goals are collecting Shiny Lechonk and commemorating Oinkologne with Mud Slap.
Mega Evolution bonus

Tips
Oinkologne has low practical value in PvP and PvE. Collecting Shiny and 100% IV is the primary goal.
Mud Slap is a Ground-type Fast Move, but Oinkologne is Normal-type so it doesn't receive STAB (1.2× same-type bonus).
The evolution deadline is 9:00 PM — you have 4 hours after the event to check IVs and evolve.
Using a Lure Module keeps Lechonk spawning past 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Play near PokéStops.
Fill all your Incubators with Eggs before the event starts. Eggs placed between 2–5 PM hatch at 1/4 distance.
