Terms of Service

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between PoGoMate ("the Service") and its users in relation to the use of the Service.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the Service, as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Service and its users.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means all Pokémon GO–related information and supplementary features provided by PoGoMate.
- "User" means any member or non-member who uses the Service under these Terms.
- "Member" means a person who registers an account via social login and uses the Service.
Article 3 (Unofficial Fan Service Notice)
PoGoMate is an independent, fan-made service created and operated by an individual.
- The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Niantic, Inc., The Pokémon Company, or Nintendo.
- Rights to names, trademarks, images, and characters related to Pokémon and Pokémon GO belong to their respective rights holders.
- The Service is a non-commercial, informational fan service and does not represent or act on behalf of the above rights holders.
Article 4 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
These Terms take effect by being posted on the Service.
The Service may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by law and will give notice of any changes through an in-service notice. If you do not agree to the amended Terms, you may delete your account.
Article 5 (Provision and Change of the Service)
The Service provides information features such as a Pokémon GO event calendar, raid and PvP information, and guides.
- The Service is provided free of charge and may change or discontinue all or part of its features for operational or technical reasons.
- Where features are changed or discontinued, we will give prior notice where possible.
- However, in unavoidable cases such as urgent failures, security issues, or failures of external API/hosting providers, notice may be given afterward.
Article 6 (Sign-up and Account)
Sign-up is performed via social login (Google/Kakao), and at sign-up the member confirms agreement to the Terms and the processing of personal information, and that they are 14 years of age or older.
Members must enter accurate information such as a trainer nickname. Members are responsible for managing their accounts and must not allow third parties to use their accounts.
Article 7 (Member Obligations)
Members must not engage in the following:
- Stealing another person’s information, friend code, or nickname, or registering false information
- Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
- Crawling or scraping the Service by automated means, or collecting data in bulk
- Reproducing or redistributing the Service’s content without authorization
- Using the Service in a manner that infringes the intellectual property rights of rights holders
- Acts that violate the law or public order and morals
Article 8 (Disclaimer Regarding Accuracy of Information)
Pokémon GO–related information provided by the Service (event schedules, raid data, stats, etc.) is compiled from official announcements, in-game notices, public community information, and the like, but may change with game updates and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current.
Users are responsible for verifying in-game information and official notices first. However, liability arising from the Service’s willful misconduct or gross negligence is not excluded.
Article 9 (Intellectual Property)
Intellectual property rights to names, images, and characters related to Pokémon and Pokémon GO belong to Niantic, Inc., The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, and the respective rights holders. This Service is an unofficial fan service not affiliated with those rights holders.
Rights to content created by the Service itself (guides, analyses, etc.) belong to the Service.
Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is not liable for service interruptions due to force majeure, such as natural disasters or failures of third parties (hosting/authentication providers, etc.).
The Service is provided free of charge, and unless caused by the Service’s willful misconduct or gross negligence, liability for damages arising from use of the Service is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Disputes)
These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Disputes between the Service and users shall be resolved before the competent court under applicable law, including the Civil Procedure Act. However, this does not exclude the application of mandatory consumer protection laws applicable to users residing abroad.
