Community Day: Scorbunny
Community Day: Scorbunny
Scorbunny appears en masse during Community Day. Evolving Raboot into Cinderace during the event or within 4 hours after teaches Blast Burn. Cinderace can also later learn Pyro Ball.
Event Schedule
Local time
Scorbunny spawns abundantly in the wild with greatly boosted Shiny odds.
2× catch candy, 2× XL Candy, 1/4 hatch distance, 3-hour Incense, and more.
Evolving Raboot into Cinderace teaches Blast Burn.
Scorbunny continues to spawn near PokéStops with active Lure Modules.
Exclusive move analysis
A solid non-Mega / non-Shadow Fire attacker. Not quite at the level of Reshiram or Blaziken, but an accessible Fire Charged Move.
PvP use for Cinderace is limited. It's outclassed in every league, and Blast Burn doesn't move the needle much.

Usage evaluation
Situationally recommended
Good party filler when you're short on Mega / Shadow / legendary Fire attackers.
Not recommended
Hits the CP cap with low stats; poor matchups against top meta.
Not recommended
Loses its Fire-type niche to Blaziken and Charizard.
Not recommended
Falls significantly short of legendary and Mega Pokémon in stats.
Keep 3–6 for raids (15/15/15 or high IV). Transfer the rest for candy.
Worth evolving — a mid-tier Fire attacker. Secure high IVs for raid parties. Low PvP value.
Mega Evolution bonus
Catching Pokémon that match a Mega-evolved Pokémon's type gives +1 candy
Mega Evolve any Fire-type Mega for +1 Scorbunny candy on catch

Tips
Blast Burn Cinderace is a solid PvE Fire attacker. Prioritize high-IV Scorbunny catches.
The evolution deadline is 9:00 PM — you have 4 hours after the event to check IVs.
Using a Lure Module keeps Scorbunny spawning past 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Play near PokéStops.
To capitalize on 2× XL Candy, Mega-evolve a Fire-type for bonus candy on Scorbunny catches.
Take advantage of 1/4 hatch distance — stock up on eggs before the event starts.
