Ditto & Zorua Disguise Guide
How to spot Ditto and Zorua when they disguise as other Pokémon — mechanics, tells, and search tips.
Ditto
Ditto · No.132 · Transform Pokémon
Ditto appears in the wild disguised as another Pokémon. You only find out after catching it.
Current disguise list
(Memories in Motion season)Tips for finding Ditto
If a catch comes out Shiny → it's NOT Ditto. Ditto never disguises as a Shiny Pokémon.
Shiny Ditto odds are ~1/64, much higher than a normal shiny (~1/500).
If a Pokémon appears with weather-boost CP but no weather effect matches, it may be a Ditto.
Ditto never flees — no need to save balls.
Zorua
Zorua · No.570 · Tricky Fox Pokémon
Zorua spawns disguised as your current Buddy Pokémon. Unlike Ditto, its disguise depends on YOUR Buddy.
Disguise mechanics
Zorua appears on the map as a copy of your currently set Buddy Pokémon.
If your Buddy is Shiny, the Zorua also appears Shiny. Costumes and Best Buddy ribbons are fully copied too.
Its true form only appears on catch. Zorua reveals itself on the catch screen.
Tips for finding Zorua
If you swap Buddies, a previous-Buddy Zorua may linger on the map in un-disguised form for about 10–15 minutes.
Shiny Zorua is possible, but you won't know until you catch it.
Without a Buddy set, Zorua doesn't spawn. Always set a Buddy.
