Fusion Guide (Kyurem & Necrozma)
Fusion combines two specific Legendary Pokémon into one stronger form. Kyurem and Necrozma can fuse, each requiring dedicated Fusion Energy and Candy.
Fusion Basics
Stats follow the base
The fused form keeps the base Pokémon's stats. The partner (Zekrom/Reshiram/Solgaleo/Lunala) stats and IVs don't carry over.
Separating is free
A fused Pokémon stays fused until you separate it. Separating costs no energy and no candy.
Re-fusing costs full price
Separating is free, but re-fusing costs the same as the first time: 1,000 energy + 30/30 candy again. Spent energy is never refunded, so don’t separate carelessly.
No trade or transfer
Fused Pokémon cannot be traded, sent to the Professor, or moved to Pokémon HOME. Finish trading/cleanup before fusing.

If Kyurem knows the Charged Attack “Glaciate” before fusing, it transforms into the signature move on fusion — Freeze Shock for Black, Ice Burn for White.

Necrozma fusion uses Cosmog Candy — the shared pre-evolution of Solgaleo and Lunala — not the partner's candy. Both fusions need 30 Cosmog Candy, so stock up in advance.
Unlike Kyurem, there’s no prerequisite for the signature move. On fusion, Necrozma automatically learns Sunsteel Strike (Dusk Mane) or Moongeist Beam (Dawn Wings) — no need to teach it a specific move beforehand.
How to get Fusion Energy
You earn Fusion Energy by winning the matching raid. Black Kyurem raids give Volt Energy; White Kyurem raids give Blaze Energy.
Likewise, Dusk Mane raids give Solar Energy and Dawn Wings raids give Lunar Energy. Some Fusion Raid Day events also grant energy via ticketed research.
Reaching 1,000 energy usually takes several raids. It’s most efficient to grind while the matching raid is active.
Using fused Pokémon
Fused forms rank highly as raid attackers and in Master League PvP. Check per-form movesets and matchups on the battle pages.
