Regional Pokémon Guide
Every region-locked Pokémon at a glance — what spawns in each region and how to collect the rest.
Regional Pokémon
Regional / Region-exclusive Pokémon
Regional Pokémon spawn only in specific continents, countries, or hemispheres. Wild spawns depend on where you live; regionals outside your area can only be obtained through trades with overseas friends or global events like GO Tour / GO Fest.
Regionals by area
Wild-spawn regionals grouped by continent / hemisphere. Species outside your region can be collected via trade or global events.

How to obtain overseas regionals
Use one of these four paths to collect regionals that do not spawn locally.
Distance trades with overseas friends
The most common path. Ultra Friends and above trade for 1 candy, and Lucky Friends get a 50% Stardust discount. Find friends via r/PokemonGoFriends on Reddit or global trade Discord servers.
Event 7 km Eggs
During select events, regionals hatch from 7 km Eggs. Check the Eggs page for the current pool — overseas species can also hatch.
GO Tour / GO Fest global events
Annual GO Tour and GO Fest events temporarily release regionals globally, with ticket holders getting massive wild / research / raid access.
Event wild & research rewards
Seasonal events (Adventure Week, holiday events, etc.) sometimes feature regionals globally or as Timed Research rewards. Check the calendar each month.
Separate guides / special mechanics
These regionals follow different mechanics and have their own dedicated guides.
Vivillon (18 patterns)
Postcard pin system — no wild spawns. Collect all 18 wing patterns.
Flabébé (5 colors)
Flower color varies by region — Red in Europe/Mideast, Blue in Asia, etc.
Paldean Tauros (3 forms)
Combat / Blaze / Aqua forms are 5★ raid exclusives in USA, Canada, Mexico.
Note
Region data can change. Niantic occasionally adjusts spawn regions during events or seasons — if a species you expect isn’t spawning, check the calendar for an active event first.
