Battle mechanics

Mega required

Party must include at least 1 Mega-evolved Pokémon. Effectiveness scales if all participants bring Mega Pokémon.

Boss shield

The boss uses shields that significantly reduce damage. Each trainer can only break one shield, so enough trainers are needed.

Enraged state

When the boss becomes enraged, its attack sharply increases. Focus on dodging during enraged phases.

Can’t break shields

Primal Pokémon deal top-tier damage, but they aren’t Mega-Evolved, so they can’t break the boss’s shields. Super Mega Raid shields can only be broken by a Mega’s Charged Attack — bring a Mega-Evolved Pokémon for this slot instead.

Battle tips

You must put at least one Mega-Evolved Pokémon in the last slot of your party to enter. As a Steel/Flying type its only weaknesses are Fire and Electric. Bring Fire (e.g. Mega Charizard Y) and Electric (e.g. Mega Manectric) attackers. It resists many types, so off-type attackers stall out. Stick strictly to its weaknesses. 8+ trainers recommended — this Super Mega Raid needs a crowd.
